Six!

Lockdown bithdays are like normal birthdays in lots of ways. And when you’re six it seems that lockdown birthdays can be fun and exciting. A birthday to brighten the beginning of January is an excellent idea. Baxters are an excellent idea.

Things we did on your sixth birthday. Enjoyed waffles and berries for breakfast – your choice. Lost a front tooth. Went sledging, not your choice but we thought you’d have fun. Played a family nerf war and you got to use your new gun. Had a nerf pinata filled with sweeties. Ate nerf cake. Tried to explain to you why no-one could come and play with you. Ouch.

At six Baxter you are full of life. You are always talkative at home. You love to tell jokes, use silly voices, talk about bodily functions. You are exceptionally affectionate – cuddles are your love language. You are curious and inquisitive. You are sometimes shy around people you don’t know. You love having friends and love being a friend even more. You receive Amazon deliveries like it’s your job and you like a chat with the Sainsbury’s delivery person. Child of lockdown days. We are always proud of you but particularly so since your last birthday. None of us had any idea what was coming, but you have laughed your way this year taking us all along with you. Travelling from 5-6 was like nothing any of us have experienced before. You are a star.
